Each time I connect my Laptop to my PLC (Siemens 212-1bd30-0xb0) my Laptop loses connection / gets kicked out.

The problem shows a couple of seconds after a successful connection to the controller is established. TIA Portal seems to communicate to the CPU, but drops the connection after about 10-30 seconds.

I have tried multiple resets, uninstalling & reinstalling, but nothing works.

      I hope someone can help.

If you have an HP Laptop. You have to uninstall the hp wifi optimizer. A colleague had the same problem and that program gave the same problem what you have described earlier.

The ‘hp wifi optimizer’ as Jasper is referring to is called ‘HP Velocity’. Deinstall that rubbish and that issue belongs to the past 🙂 As a side-note; this also applies to the host in case you’re running your TIA Portal from a VM.

Thank you very much! I deleted the “rubbish ;P” and now it works perfectly.

            Have a nice day 🙂
